On 26th November we sent a lorry load of Aids for Disabled People to Rouse, Bulgaria. There were in excess of 700 items, Zimmer frames, wheelchairs, perching stools, rollators (3 wheel walkers), leg rests, commodes, over the toilet seats, crutches etc.

In the pictures below you can see the driver presenting the Manifest in Rouse – safely delivered. 10 Rotarians from two Rotary Clubs in Rouse and 2 members of the Bulgarian Red Cross unloaded the lorry very quickly and everything is now in the Store.  We hope to take part in the distribution when we go to Bulgaria next week.

Physionet, a charity that collect aids for disabled children, offered us all these Aids for Adults. The lorryload had to be send very quickly because Physionet had to empty their Store. It has cost us £3000 to send the container, but the new value of the contents is about £100,000.

We are desperately looking for funding to pay this bill, so we are encouraging people donate - us here at Bulgarian Aid and the people of Bulgaria will be very grateful.
