Christine decided it would be a good idea to have a warm sweater knitted for each child and then things 'snowballed'. Since then they have visited Bulgaria many times taking many tons of Humanitarian Aid to orphans, homes for the elderly and to the disabled.

Many people helped by donating goods and many gave money to 'sponsor a mattress' for the elderly. Asda supermarket allowed us to collect there and their staff made a large contribution.

  2. Sheets, blankets, towels, curtains, cutlery, toiletries, soap powder and sanitary towels
  3. Educational and soft toys, dressed dolls and games for children
  4. Wheelchairs, commodes, living aids for the disabled, 100 new waterproof mattresses and a large quantity of incontinence products for the elderly
  5. Wood-working and gardening tools, sewing machines and textiles, upholstery cloth for training young people to earn a living
  6. Organs and other musical instruments
  7. Computers for administration and for training

All these things, donated by all kinds of people in the Hull area, were collected, sorted and packed by Mike and Christine and their helpers. Each year Mike and Christine have ascertained the needs of each establishment and personally delivered the things needed. All the Aid taken has been very gratefully received and been useful.
